I have experienced syncope (black outs) for a number of years now, both during times of rest and exercise and often feel tired with a lack of energy. I had been investigated for cardiac problems before but my inherited genetic cardiomyopathy had never been identified or diagnosed. My Cardiologist at The Peninsula Heart Clinic had the experience and level of clinical insight to investigate my symptoms properly. I now know what has been causing my symptoms and I now have access to therapy and an onward care plan to help me manage my condition. Knowing that I have a mild form of Cardiomyopathy explains a lot.
