I had cataract surgery on both eyes which was carried out by Mr Khan. The whole experience was great - every single member of staff I met at North Downs was wonderful - kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Mr Khan himself is outstanding - a true professional but also exceptionally kind, easy to talk to and puts you at ease so the operation is not at all stressful. I have had multiple operations over the past few years at various hospitals with different surgeons, so I can honestly say everything about North Downs was perfect and Mr Khan is excellent.

I went in to have my gall bladder removed. I was admitted at 4.00pm. Operated on at 4.46 pm. Stayed in overnight and had the most excellent care from, in no order, the surgeon and anaesthetist, receptionist, the happy chaps in the recovery area and all of the fantastic nursing staff who looked after me for the 18 hours I was in. Any nerves i may have had, soon disappeared. I think the excellent care helped me to walk my dogs 24 hours after discharge. Four days later now, I feel right as rain. Thank you to everyone at North Downs hospital.

i came into northdown hospital in camberly for a vasectomy as you can imagine i was very nervous. typical man but on meeting dr tina peers. she explained the whole process & what to expect after the op she did not pressure me into going ahead with it.i have never met another doctor like her. after a 30 min consultation dr peers & nurse genny showed me into the operating room. to give you an idea by this time how relaxed i was feeling i even filmed the op approx 20 mins later i was done.2 days later i was back to work pain free.i would highly recommend dr peers to anyone looking at getting a vasectomy

I wanted to pass on my feedback so that others who are considering the same procedure can take some confidence in choosing North Downs Hospital for their care. The first nurse in charge of my care was absolutely wonderful (I wish I could remember her name - sorry!). Nothing was too much trouble even when I was feeling very sorry for myself after the anaesthetic, she remained patient and tried to help in any way she could. I was so pleased when she came back on shift in the evening! I wish that I could have eaten a bigger meal as the sandwiches and sorbet I had were really tasty so I would expect the same to be true of the rest of the food. All the staff I met were wonderful, including the lovely porter who had to take a very anxious patient to the theatre! My discharge ended up being a few hours later than expected but at no point did I feel pressured to leave in order that they could prepare it for the next patient. All in all I wish I could receive all medical care at NDH in future!

The hospital staff from top to bottom are friendly, professional and really "care" about you. They made my stay, for my first major (ish) operation really calm and supportive.
The rooms are a good size with all you could need, TV, Wifi and with as much tea, coffee and biscuits as you might want. The meals were also first class.

Very spacious room & ensuite. Clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and caring and everything explained to relieve anxiety. This is my fourth operation at this hospital and would recommend it to anyone. New refurbishment very nice, however, the bed trolleys now don't move so easily on carpet and after an operation quite hard to push and pull around without strain.

From arrival at the hospital, all the staff were caring, friendly and made me feel relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and it was nice to have an en-suite bathroom. Both my surgeon and anaethnatist came to see me before the operations to chat over the procedure to make sure I understood what would happen. The surgeon then came by after the op to make sure I was ok. Again all the staff were very attentive and caring and looked after me with my post op sickness. I was given plenty of advice from the physio regarding post op excercises and left with pamphlets and spare dressings in case of need. I would like to send a big thank you to all the staff at North Downs Hospital for making my stay as pleasant as possble.

Initial consultation involved waiting a long time which made me hesitant.
On the day, the staff were friendly and competant and made me feel relaxed in preparation for what was an intrusive and potentially unpleasant procedure. Post procedure I felt as if I was in safe hands and was monitored constantly My room was, I guess adequate, but not too comfortable and the choice of food afterwards was limited. a very unsatisfactory cheese sandwich was eaten
