Mr Bhamy Shenoy is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner at Newmedica, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist eyecare.
Mr Shenoy undertook his medical and general ophthalmology training in India. He worked as a consultant at the world-renowned LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Hyderabad before moving to the UK in 2014. In the UK, he completed a fellowship diploma in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus from Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, specialist training in general ophthalmology and adult cataract surgery, and two fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus from Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant paediatric ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in 2018.
Mr Shenoy has extensive experience in managing a variety of eye conditions including amblyopia, strabismus and small (fornix) incision squint surgery, as well as in cataract surgery, including micro-incision surgery. He is actively involved in teaching and has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings.
