Kenan Dehne: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bristol and Birmingham
Mr Kenan Dehne has extensive experience in lower limb reconstructive surgery, including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, uni-compartmental knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair surgery, and knee arthroscopy. He graduated from Damascus University, where he completed his initial specialist training in orthopaedics and trauma before relocating to the UK in 2004. In the UK, Mr Dehne pursued further qualifications, culminating in the prestigious Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) in Vienna in 2014 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr & Orth) in 2015.
Mr Dehne undertook Fellowship training in complex hip and knee arthroplasty, young adult hip surgery and soft tissue knee surgery at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham and at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. Prior to joining Practice Plus Group, he worked at NHS Trusts in Bath, the Cotswolds, West Midlands, Wales and the North West of England.
Among other subjects, Mr Dehne is actively involved in research related to the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERP) for patients following hip or knee replacement surgery, aiming to support a smoother recovery. His research has been published in numerous prestigious orthopaedic journals and presented at both national and international meetings. He is a visiting Fellow at Aston University.
