Roman Miller: Lead Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Plymouth
Mr Roman Miller graduated from Silesian Medical University in Katowice, Poland, in 1991. After completing his specialist training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, he obtained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) - equivalent to FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics - in 1998. He later earned a PhD in Orthopaedics from Silesian Medical University in 2002.
Mr Miller worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Poland for six years before relocating to the UK in 2004 to further enhance his professional expertise. He gained experience as a Senior Registrar at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London and subsequently completed a prestigious fellowship in Young and Adult Hip Surgery under Mr Richard Villar at the Wellington Hospital, London. This was followed by a Senior Clinical Fellowship in Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery and Revision Lower Limb Arthroplasty at St George’s Hospital, London.
From January 2010, Mr Miller worked as a Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Yeovil District Hospital before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth in December 2010.
He has authored and co-authored several papers in his specialist field and serves as a member of the Reviewer’s Panel for the British edition of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. A member of the British Orthopaedic Association, he was awarded Fellowship ad eundem by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013.
