Mr William Dartey received his medical education at the University of Ghana Medical School, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. He gained clinical experience in internal medicine, trauma and emergency care, and obstetrics and gynaecology before relocating to the UK.
As a postgraduate, Mr Dartey attained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). He also trained in Goningen in the Netherlands and in the USA.
Mr Dartey has worked in both teaching and district general hospitals in England and Scotland.
