Mr John Robinson is a highly experienced Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. His career has seen him practise in the NHS, the military and in New Zealand, providing him with extensive experience in his field. Since 2014, he has been a Substantive Upper GI and General Surgery Consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr Robinson is committed to continued professional development in order to keep his skillset and knowledge fully up-to-date, attending courses, meetings and conferences. He has presented at national and international conferences, as well as writing and contributing to the published literature. He is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a trainer for Advanced Trauma and Life Support, Care of the Critically Ill Patient and Endoscopy. He is a Senior Academy Tutor and validated examiner for Birmingham University Medical School and a reviewer for the British Medical Journal.
