Mark Dunbar: Consultant Knee Surgeon in West Midlands
Mr Mark Dunbar graduated from medical school at the University of Oxford and undertook both his early and specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in the West Midlands. He completed his PhD at the University of Warwick in 2009 where he was able to look in detail at factors that affect outcome after major knee surgery. As an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Warwick, his research work continues, and he prides himself on being able to use the highest quality evidence available to inform the decision making in his clinical practice. Mr Dunbar completed his knee fellowship training back in Oxford and his practice focuses exclusively on problems affecting the knee. With clinics in Solihull and Sutton Coldfield, he specialises in robotic knee replacement, uni-compartmental knee replacement, total knee replacement, revision knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, meniscal repair, knee ligament surgery, ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction, knee osteotomy, patella instability and patella stabilisation surgery. He takes immense satisfaction in getting to know and partner with his patients on the journey to get them back to the quality of life that they desire.
